The road trip Huddersfield to Rawmarsh via Penistone.

Joining the A629 Penistone Road for the journey home, I never come home the same way that I go,
mainly because I get lost and take my direction from the sun, if it's raining I get really lost.
Usually I travel from pub to pub.
Emley Moor Transmitter in the distance to our left coming home southward we have made a circular
journey with Emley Moor in the centre.
 Approaching Wortley village.
On the A629, Halifax Road heading towards Rotherham/Sheffield.
The village shop.

This junction is an accident black spot.
Just left the A61 approaching Chapeltown.

Most pubs serve good food.

Almost home.
 Heading towards Greasbrough.

 Over the Tops to Rawmarsh.

 Haugh Road.
Dale Road.
 Kilnhurst Road almost home.

This is one of the old school no food served here, just lots of drink.

A trip to Huddersfield.

A trip 30 miles by car, a one hour journey no deserts over here just lush greenery.
Emley Moor Transmitter to our left traveling north.
A637. Barnsley Road to Huddersfield.
A637 Barnsley Road.
A637 Flockton Village.

Double white lines no overtaking.

A view of Almondbury and Victoria Tower.

This road is littered with speed cameras.

Speed cameras it would be nice to do 30MPH.

The world is getting smaller.

This to me is fantastic, technology shrinking the world.
My friends sister was on her way home from Los Angeles, I was on google maps
following her journey on 1-15. Talking to her on her mobile receiving messaged photos
on facebook. She was on her way to Utah I was sitting in my home in Yorkshire.
The top photo mid way on shows Joshua Trees I had never heard of them before.

The desert, I have never seen a desert or scrub land.

Look at the outside temperature and it's only 8-15am, here in Yorkshire if it gets to the 80s
which it does for 2 or 3 days a year we're all moaning that it's too hot to bear.

 Scorchio.

I've never seen anything like this, some sort of solar generating plant.

Bypassing Las Vagas.

The LDS Temple, St George Utah.
Back to the desert.

At this point I had to go to bed we are 8 hour ahead of your time.
It was about this point where she passed through a time zone and became 7 hours behind us.
There were loads more photos but I could not put any more on at this time.

Public transport.

Single Decker Bus going to Barnsley.

Sheffields Super Tram going to Crystal Peaks.

Double Decker Bus going to Doncaster.

I never travel on the top deck, it's like being on a fairground ride. I've tried it a couple of times sick once and got off once before I was sick the other. If there are no seats down stairs I'll wait for the next bus, once bitten twice shy.

I did this just for the photographs, five minutes from Doncaster.

Traveling by bus is relaxing you don't have to keep your eyes on the road someone else takes the strain.
