Sunday. Will write about it when things get better. Monday. Things are looking up.
I can
write about it now but I did not want to push our luck before.
Una has
had some real bad back pain over the last few days Sunday morning I gave
her two co-codamols then after breakfast I went upstairs and left her
sat at the table.
A short while later I heard her shout my name
followed by a almighty loud bang. I went down to see what was going on
and found Una on the kitchen floor unconscious
she look like death. I took hold of her head and neck and she came too a
little so I put her in the recovery position and called 999 and then
our Steven.
For the best part of 10 minutes she kept slipping in and
out of consciousness our Steven arrived and took over then the
paramedic arrived.
He gave her a good examination and tests then 10
minutes later the ambulance arrived. When Una was fit enough to move
they sat her on a wheel chair took her to the ambulance then off to
hospital.
Una had a massive bump as big as my fist on the back of her head and one as big as an egg on the side.
The last thing Una can remember was standing at the sink feel like she
was going to be sick then me waking her up. She says she thought she was
in a deep sleep in bed and could not understand why I was waking her
up. After 4 hours in hospital checks and tests done they said she was
fit to go home. Now every part of her body aches not only her back; but
she here!
I'm head cook and bottle washer now, I've done it before thou it was many years ago.
Things we see and do.

Roll on springtime.
There is nothing growing in the greenhouse at the moment and wont be until next springtime.
So to brighten up the night sky until the light nights come back I've turned the greenhouse into a disco without the music. I just hate looking out of the window into the black of night and it's got the thumbs up from my neighbours kids so all is well with the world.
The clocks go back Saturday night, darker earlier don't you just hate it!!!!

My number one girl.
Our Steven and Stuart were determined not to let Una's birthday go unnoticed.
It was tinged with some sadness though, it brought to our attention the passing of Irene Hackett a friend of mine from years ago.

Funny or scarey.
Yesterday at Cannon Hall Barnsley we were roaming round and bumped into these weird looking hikers. I don't know if they were trolls, trogs or the offspring of Rumpelstiltskin. I'm just glad I'm a grown up and brave!!! If I had been a child I would have been terrified.

Back to School.
Back to school signals one thing and for me it's too early to mention but there's a clue in the photo.
All over the store chocolates are piled high.

Back to the hills.
Kinder Scout, the weather forecast was morning mist burning off early, then sunshine and warm.
Wrong it did not clear until we were well on our way back.
The last time I was up here I had just had my knees done and was still taking Tramadol.
This time it is just me no painkillers no drugs.
After we reached the top and had had our sandwiches we set of back it was too cold and damp to go any further.
To go on would have spoiled the walk, sods law as soon as we got back down the cloud lifted.
Two of the locals welcomed us back.

Heartbreakers.
I find this is the best way to own a dog. I donate every month by direct debit, I never see the dog but I know one is being fed somewhere.
Below the four cats that come twice a day to be fed 7am and 5pm. I have no idea where they sleep or where they spend the day.

Skeg Vagas.
Skegness Lincolnshire another East Coast resort.
First things first never start an adventure on an empty stomach, into the arcades for some fast food, chicken and chips with a little bit of salad to make it healthy eating.
The sea is a bit of a walk away but within easy reach.
Slightly safe bathing but there is a strong down shore drift, if you don't watch what you're doing you can finish up way down the beach or worse. I have only swam in the sea here once and I'm talking from experience I didn't know about about the drift, it was a long way back and scary to say the least.
The wind turbines I'm sure are to power Skeggy's amusement arcades. The machines (one arm bandits) and the lighting to me are a wonderful sight.
I can not believe looking at the beach that school has started.
The pier was much longer years ago possibly twice it's present length. In January 1978 it was damaged beyond repair by a gale and a high spring tide a real loss to Skegness.
During the day it was really busy but when but when the clock struck five everyone went home for tea.
We stuck it out until the sun lost it's heat.
